Sky Ferreira Befriends A Tarantula In Terry Richardson-Directed “Red Lips” Video
If you have arachnophobia, you’ll want to steer clear of Sky Ferriera‘s video for “Red Lips”, a creepy-crawly video with an emphasis on creepy. Directed by Hollywood’s skeeviest photographer Terry Richardson, the video features the singer acting indifferent (or perhaps attempting to hide her disgust) as she allows a hairy tarantula to crawl all over her face… as well as other intimate areas of her body. But the overzied spider is somehow nowhere near as disconcerting as the image of Sky, looking washed out with platinum hair against a white background, crazily painting her face with a tube of red lipstick.
At least the song is pretty good. Thank Garbage‘s Shirley Manson for that.
