Chris Brown carried on with the winning’ streak he began last year at the BET Hip Hop Awards (and continued with the Grammys) by nabbing the Best Male R&B Artist and AOL Fandemonium statues at the 2012 BET Awards. Others who emerged triumphant from the Los Angeles event were Kanye West and Jay-Z — collectively known as The Throne — who were named Best Group and earned the Video Of The Year title for “Otis”, and Jay’s wife Beyonce, who was crowned Best Female R&B Artist and, along with Alan Ferguson, won Video Director Of The Year.

Upon The Throne’s big win, West walked onto the stage and fronted like his outspoken pal Jay-Z was not in attendance at the event. “I wish Jay-Z was here to say something politically correct,” he said as he began his acceptance speech. That’s when Hova ran out on stage and gave the rapper a celebratory bear hug.
