Santigold Offers A Demented View Of Suburbia In “The Keepers” Video

While other pop stars are celebrating America in their new videos, Santigold is deconstructing and criticizing the modern American way of life in her surreal new clip for “The Keepers”, her latest single off her album Master Of My Make-Believe. The Keepers, a family of blonde-wigged suburbanites (Santi included), are seen enjoying their radioactive-looking supper when Wu-Tang’s GZA takes aim at their happy, sheltered existence. This nuclear family is harder to destroy than you’d think, and after brushing off the debris, they continue dancing around, even with the milkman bleeding to death in their living room. Uh, go USA?
