Rachel Crow Blasts The Bullies In “Mean Girls” Video

Just in time for Lindsay Lohan‘s 26th birthday comes the video for “Mean Girls”, an anti-bully anthem from The X Factor‘s outrageous and adorable finalist Rachel Crow, who left the competition practically drowning in her own tears upon hearing she was eliminated. Thankfully, the 14-year-old has her head held high in her first video, which opens with supposedly real confessionals from a handful of bullied teen girls. Rachel enters as narrator of the high school scene, singing empowering lyrics about not letting bullies get you down: “Mean girls, I’m gonna comb you out of my curls.” Generic, and yet highly specific, all at the same time. (By the way, Rachel was 6 years old when Lohan’s Mean Girls was released in theaters. Just something to think on.)

Rachel’s self-titled EP will be released June 26. Remind yourself that It Gets Better by checking out the lyrics to “Mean Girls”.
