Frank Ocean’s “Sweet Life”: Listen

Earlier this week Odd Future‘s Frank Ocean was met with a wave of support after coming out in a letter on his Tumblr. Perhaps to return the warm reception, the upcoming Late Night performer has gifted the world with “Sweet Life”, the ultra smooth track from his upcoming album Channel Orange. A collaboration with Pharrell Williams (who has also been hitting the studio these days with Miley Cyrus and Mika), Frank’s track hit us like a warm summer breeze. The flowing keyboard riff paired with singer-songwriter’s rich voice gave us flashes of Stevie Wonder’s “Overjoyed”. Jump below for a listen.

“You’ve had a landscaper and a housekeeper since you were born / The star-shine always kept you warm / So why see the world if you’ve got the beach?” sings Frank to his privileged subject.

Will you be picking up Channel Orange when it drops on July 17?
