On the eve of the release of his new album Life Is Good (read Idolator’s review here), Nas stopped by Late Show With David Letterman to perform his single “Daughters”. Decked out in all white, the MC gave a shout out for “all my brothers with daughters” in the song inspired by his relationship with his teenage daughter, Destiny.

The rapper recently revealed that he had hoped to score other swaggy dads Eminem and Jay-Z for the remix of “Daughters”, but neither collaboration ended up working out. “I wanted Eminem for a remix for ‘Daughters,’ but he had already expressed that he’s spoken so much about his daughter throughout his career that he had done that subject too much,” Nas told Vibe. “And me and Jay-Z talked about doing some things, but our schedules were so crazy.” Maybe B.I.C. (aka Blue Ivy Carter) is available?
