Next year will see Mariah Carey on the small screen, earning a small fortune as a judge on American Idol. But it turns out she’s also heading to the big screen, as well, in her first dramatic turn since her acclaimed role in 2009’s Precious. Vulture reports that Mimi has signed up to star in Precious director Lee Daniel’s next film The Butler, which focuses on a white house butler (Forest Whitaker) who served under eight presidents over the course of three decades. Also in the cast: Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy, John Cusack as Richard Nixon and Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan (with Jane Fonda playing wife Nancy Reagan). Oh, and someone named Oprah Winfrey is playing the main character’s wife.
