Did You Hear?

:: Johnny Cash, Ray Charles and Eminem have their own gritty biopics and semi-autobiographical stories told on the big screen, and now it’s time for Justin Bieber, voice of his generation, to have his. (No, Never Say Never didn’t count.) UCB Comedy brings us the trailer for 8 Kilometers: The Gritty Life Story Of Justin Bieber. It’s a melodramatic spin on Bieber’s rise to fame, but at least it’s in 3-D! [Jezebel]

:: Pop stars are getting in the Olympic spirit, and they’re showing their support for Team USA through Twitter. Most notable is Justin Bieber‘s tweet to 17-year-old swimming gold medalist and self-proclaimed Belieber Missy Franklin, which read: “Heard @FranklinMissy is a fan of mine. now im a fan of hers too. CONGRATS on winning GOLD! #muchlove”. [MTV]

:: Speaking of which, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin blames the summer games for a few forgotten lyrics in Boston last Sunday (July 29). “I was thinking about the Olympics. I was distracted,” he said. “I was not in the breakup frame of mind I needed to be in. I’m gonna get back into it. I’m gonna stop thinking about pole vaulting and things like that.” [PopCrush]

:: First came Iggy Azalea, and now Azealia Banks seems ready to start a feud with fellow MC Nicki Minaj. After rumors that Minaj had invited the Mermaid to join her on tour, Nicki allegedly tweeted “#ManTheseB*tchesDelirious”, to which Azealia responded with “Use good grammar when insulting others.” [That Grape Juice]

:: Beyonce is eager to return to the big screen — even if she has to take matters into her own hands. The “Countdown” singer hopes to star in and direct a new documentary, in the same vein as Katy Perry‘s Part Of Me. [LA Times]
