Well, here’s one rap beef we can finally put to bed — Azealia Banks has apologized to rap’s other rising MC Kreayshawn for derogatory comments she made about her on Twitter earlier this year.

“@KREAYSHAWN I apologize for coming down on you so hard earlier this year,” Banks tweeted out Sunday (August 5). “I missunderstood that pornhub rt. I can be really defensive sometimes. I’m just naturally rude. LMFAOO it’s a NY thing… I can’t help it.”

The beef began back in January, when Kreayshawn tweeted a since-deleted link to Banks’ video for “212”, which someone had uploaded to adult website PornHub. Banks didn’t appreciate the promotion, and thought it was meant as a diss. “You’re a dumb bitch. And you can’t rap. I’ll sit on your face,” Banks wrote. “Fall back slut.”

“Come on you mad because I retweeted your link?” Kreay shot back. “Because I like your music? Pffff get outta here! Not a fan anymore.”

She continued: “Did I just get smashed on Twitter because I was supporting a fellow female? I sure did… *confused.*”

To which Banks replied: “You’re always tryna be cute and funny but your not built for it. Really you’re not.”

But eight months later, bygones are bygones between the two rappers. Kreay accepted Azealia’s apology, saying, “It’s all G! I fux with you[r] music above all! You have those fire barz gurlll!”

Banks then suggested a collaboration, to which the Oakland MC replied, “I’m down!!! FIRE FUEGO!!”

Now if only Madonna and Lady Gaga (or Madonna and Elton John… or Madonna and deadmau5) could settle their differences this easily.
