Rihanna Shocks Oprah By Being “Thoughtful” and “Vulnerable”: Preview The Exclusive Interview
Rihanna brought Oprah Winfrey down to her home country of Barbados for an exclusive interview as part of her Oprah’s Next Chapter series, and the media mogul experienced a side of the pop star she never expected. “I thought she was going to be kinda a badass, a hard edged rocker pop woman,” said Oprah. However, “Nothing could have been farther from the truth.”
“She was thoughtful, she was very emotional, she was vulnerable, she pushes the edge… she pushes the edge a lot, and there’s a reason for that,” says Winfrey.
In the above preview, we, too, see a sweet, subtle side to the outspoken, outrageously dressed (when she’s dressed at all) superstar. “I’m super duper afraid of the pedestal that comes with fame,” says the singer. She also ends up in tears at one point, and admits, “It’s amazing how lonely you can feel.”
