Azealia Banks’ Debut Album Pushed Back To 2013

Azealia Banks has been blowing up all year long (and we’re not just talking about her banned Dazed & Confused cover), but we’ll have to wait until next year for her first full-length release. The Harlem rapper’s debut LP, Broke With Expensive Taste, has been pushed back from its scheduled fall release to February 12, 2013. (We pretty much saw this coming a mile away.)

“Broke With Expensive Taste will be out first quarter of 2013 on Feb 12,” she tweeted. “I have ALOT of REALLY excitin ish happening in btwn! it will ALL make sense as these things start to unravel. The #KUNTBRIGADE will b proud!”

As Pink Is The New Blog points out, we’re pretty sure Azealia meant “unfold” and not “unravel”, since having something unravel isn’t usually a good thing. Anyway, too bad about the delay — let’s hope the “Van Vogue” MC can keep the momentum going now through the new year.
