Nelly Furtado Premieres “Parking Lot” Lyric Video, Unveils Single Cover
Ahead of the September 18 release of The Spirit Indestructible, Nelly Furtado is following up “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)” and the album’s title track with third single “Parking Lot”. The song’s lyric video (watch after the jump) is a green kaleidoscopic affair, while the boom-boom-clap tune itself is an upbeat, mid-tempo jam that’s somewhat reminiscent of Gwen Stefani‘s “Hollaback Girl”, down to the marching band-esque brass sample and overall cheerleader vibe of Nelly’s vocal delivery.
“Bring your car to the parking lot and ride around till you get a spot, cuz we ain’t doing nothing, no, we ain’t doing nothing,” Furtado sings on the nostalgic “Parking Lot”. Sigh. Teenagers! Catch the lyric video below.
