Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen” Video: Go Behind The Scenes

Ellie Goulding‘s “Lights” is a slow-burning piece of dance-pop that had an equally slow-burning rise to popularity. But once you have a hit under your belt, people will be watching your next move. That’s why the British singer is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her video for “Anything Could Happen,” the lead single from Goulding’s forthcoming album Halcyon (Oct. 9).

From what we can see in the above interview, the video features Goulding (and her pinkish Skrillex hair) writhing around beach rocks like an ancient mystical siren. She says the song is about a soul mate (Skrillex perhaps? Nothing says “union forever” like matching hairdos!) and that she hopes “it will make people go out and propose to their girlfriends.” From making you sweat at the club to making you get down on one knee — that’s the kind of versatility we like to see in our pop stars!
