The handing out of the Moonman statues started early for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, when Demi Lovato picked up the first one during the pre-show. The visual for her inspirational 2011 single “Skyscraper” was the recipient of Best Video With A Message. Following that, Calvin Harris clinched the Best Electronic Dance Music Video gong for “Feel So Close”.
