Ellie Goulding Floats & Bleeds In “Anything Could Happen” Video

Ellie Goulding has released the video for “Anything Could Happen,” the lead single off her forthcoming LP Halcyon (Oct. 9). The subdued electro-pop gem gets a lovely video featuring Goulding amidst jagged rocks and waves (and floating silver orbs), interspersed with brief shots of the singer and a love interest.

Goulding previously mentioned that the song is about a soul mate, but other than the stringy black hair and tats, the male in this video bears no resemblance to Goulding’s boyfriend Skrillex. Alas, just as we get a good look at the couple…that’s when the nosebleed starts and the video takes an unexpectedly grisly turn. Watch the whole thing up top to see what befalls the pair.
