Carly Rae Jepsen’s “This Kiss”: Hear The Clubby Single

It’s been more than six months since Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe” first emerged from the quaint hamlet of Canada, and while we’d be more than happy to keep singing along to that song for another six months, Jepsen has finally released her next single. “This Kiss” is the second track off her forthcoming Kiss (out Sep. 18) and again finds the singer in hot pursuit of a man. But this time she’s on a mission — none of this waffling “maybe” business. Fittingly, then, it’s a less bubbly, more confident affair with a sparkly electro sheen (co-producer RedFoo of LMFAO probably helped in that department). Hear the track after the jump.

Carly Rae Jepsen — “This Kiss”

We’re sure this one will monopolize the airwaves like her last song, but with the dance beat and vocal effects, Carly’s going for dance floor domination as well. With lyrics reminiscent of Hall & Oates‘ “Kiss On My List” (This kiss is something I can’t resist / Your lips are undeniable), it would certainly be a change of pace from hearing Rihanna in the club.

Combined with “Call Me Maybe” and the acoustic shuffle of “Beautiful,” it would appear Carly is offering a few different styles on Kiss.
