Lady Gaga Smokes & Praises “Wondrous Marijuana” On Stage In Amsterdam: Watch

When Lady Gaga urinated in a champagne bucket and got tattooed live during her performance at the Guggenheim last week, we all sighed wearily and asked ourselves, “When is she going to do something controversial again?” Luckily, she didn’t keep us waiting long before delivering some new drama: The PETA-trolling, Christina Aguilera–shading superstar took to the stage in Amsterdam last night to enthusiastically espouse the joys of cannabis.

According to NME, Gaga described marijuana as “wondrous” as she lit a joint and smoked it on stage. She joked that a few tokes aren’t enough to give her much of a buzz (get it? Because her tolerance is so high!), telling the crowd, “I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I’ve really cut down on drinking. It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music.”

Of course, marijuana is legal in Amsterdam, which means that Gaga was well within the bounds of the law there — and if she has her way, she’ll bring the Netherlands’ liberal drug culture stateside, too, since she also joked that she wanted to lobby President Barack Obama to legalize cannabis in the states. While we appreciate her commitment to the cause, the POTUS may have bigger fish to fry.
