Prince Announces Janelle Monae As Opener For “Welcome 2 Chicago” Show
After dropping his smooth new song “RNR Affair” (and his new mini-fro) on Tuesday (September 18), Prince announced that he has enlisted Janelle Monae for one of his upcoming Chicago shows — a perfect fit considering they are both R&B chameleons. Monae will open for the Purple One on September 26 for his third show in as many days at the United Center. The string of gigs is part of Prince’s “Welcome 2 Chicago” residency in support of Rebuild The Dream. Tickets for all three concerts are on sale now.
