Ciara is gearing up for a big comeback with her new album One Woman Army, with the soulful ballad “Sorry” out now and another single, uptempo club banger “Got Me Good,” due out soon. While CiCi was on the set of the “Got Me Good” video, she chatted with MTV News about what’s coming up on the album — and they also got an exclusive listen to several of the tracks.

But don’t get it twisted — despite the combative title, Ciara says it’s more about getting in touch with your inner grown-ness than with any real conflict.

“[The album is] not about being over-independent, but it does represent my independence as a woman and it represents my strength,” Ciara explained. “It represents where I stand with love. It represents what I want out of life as a woman.” As for the upcoming Rodney Jerkins-produced “Got Me Good,” it’s described as “a souped-up dance number that recalls the Ghost Town DJ‘s 1996 bass classic “My Boo.” Sounds promising.
