Adele‘s Skyfall theme is finally here! It was supposed to premiere at precisely 7:07 p.m. ET (0:07 a.m. in London town, get it?) tonight (October 4), but as these things often do, it leaked early. And while we need to give it a few more listens before we decide to bestow it with an official spot on our list of the greatest James Bond themes, the massive song certainly sounds like a timeless Bond classic. Hear the full song with the lyric video after the jump.

Adele — “Skyfall”

As we mentioned upon hearing the preview, Adele’s soulful voice steals all the attention from the grand and ornate accompaniment. The call-and-response choir seems a little gaudy, even by Bond standards, but Adele’s simmering vocal keeps everything grounded. And then during the song’s final third, Adele does, in fact, make the sky fall, in typical Adele fashion.

The track was co-written and produced by Adele’s frequent collaborator Paul Epworth, who was behind the boards for “Rolling In the Deep,” and it features a 77-piece orchestra which was arranged by Epworth and Emmy-nominated film and TV composer J.A.C. Redford.
