Rick Ross has taken a quick breather from brawling at the BET Hip-Hop Awards to drop a new mixtape, The Black Bar Mitzvah. The cover artwork is just goofy — featuring Ross looking like a total B-O-S-S with his head on a golden Star of David — but the tracklist is pretty well fleshed out with assists from 2 Chainz, Pharrell and Drake, among several others. But if you were thinking the whole Judaism shtick was all about the aesthetics, think again: Ricky Rozay lays it all out there in the opening track. “Black Bar Mitzvah, Black Hebrews / All my Jewish partners, all my business endeavors,” he raps. “Open your minds, we get more money, we owners now / Follow the code, I’m on the road to riches.” Listen to the new mixtape below.
