Baz Luhrmann‘s remake of The Great Gatsby is set to get even more glamorous. Although the upcoming adaptation was pushed back from its initial December release to May 10, 2013, it sounds as though they’re using the time wisely, since one of the film’s stars says that some high-profile additions may be made to the film’s soundtrack.

While promoting her film Silent Hill 3D: Revelation, actress Adelaide Clemens said of Luhrmann’s upcoming adaptation: “They have some new music that’s going to be added to the film. Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don’t think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door.” Way to spill the beans, Adelaide.

Although nothing has been officially confirmed — Clemens added, “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that” — Luhrmann is known for exceptional taste in music, used to impressive effect in his films. His Romeo + Juliet compilation featured Garbage and The Cardigans, and the original soundtrack for Moulin Rouge is the stuff of legend. If Clemens’ slip proves true, expect an all-star offering to accompany the already-decadent Gatsby.
