The Killers Take Over ‘The Colbert Report’: Watch The Interview & “Miss Atomic Bomb”

Stephen Colbert got his money’s worth when The Killers stopped by The Colbert Report on Thursday (October 18). After a quick interview, the Vegas band performed two songs, starting with “Miss Atomic Bomb” which you can watch up top. The track is a mix of John Hughes-ian ’80s romance and the band’s updated take on scuffed-leather Americana. While not quite as bombastic as their other Battle Born single “Runaways,” with lines like “The dust cloud has settled / My eyes are clear” it occupies the same anthemic territory.

As for the interview with Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vannucci, Jr., Colbert wasted no time asking about Romney’s fandom and Flowers’ Mormon faith. After the jump, check out the full interview and their performance of Hot Fuss hit “All These Things That I’ve Done.”
