Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ Turns Five: Help Idolator Celebrate The Anniversary

It seems like just yesterday that Britney Spears released her iconic fifth studio album Blackout, and the album still sounds so fresh that it’s hard to believe it’s been a full five years since Godney shed her holy light upon us with the darkest, most brilliantly inventive album of her career.

In celebration of the upcoming anniversary (on October 26), Idolator is doing something extra-special: We’re taking an in-depth look at the album and giving you, Spears’ biggest fans, the opportunity to have your thoughts about Blackout featured on our site in a track-by-track roundup. Tell us why the Queen B slayed your faves, how she left the competition wigless and why this particular song is the greatest piece of music ever recorded.

Head below details on how to enter. (Don’t worry — it’s super easy.)

HOW TO ENTER:

  • First, “Like” Idolator on Facebook. (Because it’s fun.)
  • Email idolatordotcom@gmail.com with the subject line “BLACKOUT” and a 2-3 sentence review of your favorite song on Blackout. Be enthusiastic! Gush! Here’s your moment in the spotlight!  (In other words, hyperbole is welcome.)
  • Be sure to include your first name, age, location, Twitter handle (if you want) and a photo of yourself in an Onyx Hotel Tour t-shirt. (That last part is optional, but seriously, you can include a Britney-themed picture if you have one.)
  • See if we included your entry. Check back on Friday, October 26 to see whether your review was chosen.

This contest ends at midnight ET on Thursday, October 25, 2012 — so don’t delay!
