Did You Hear?

:: Lil Wayne‘s I Am Not A Human Being II was originally slated for November 13, and then December 11. But now we won’t get to hear the Weezy album that Kanye West “had a big hand in” until early 2013. [MTV Rapfix]

:: After speaking in front of the prestigious Oxford Union, PSY will now be honored by South Korea’s culture minister. The viral rapper will receive the Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit for his “contribution to increasing the world’s awareness of Korean pop music and ensuing interest in Korea.” [Billboard]

:: Chris Brown launched his Black Pyramid clothing line in L.A. on Wednesday (November 7). Presumably the shirts rip easily in order to make post-interview meltdowns more convenient.  [Rap-Up]

:: Carly Rae Jepsen is being sued for copyright infringement again. This time, Ukrainian stripper singer Aza claims Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” has lyrics from her song “Hunky Santa.” We’ve seen a lot of dubious music lawsuits, but this one may end up setting a new land speed record for quickest dismissal by a judge. :: The initial lineup for SXSW 2013 has been announced. A couple hundred acts are already scheduled to perform at the March festival, but it’s pretty light on the pop acts so far. But remember Charlotte Church? She’ll be there. [Spinner]
