3OH!3 Grow Up In “Youngblood”: Watch The Band’s New Video

Pioneers of scabrous bro-pop 3OH!3 are back with a new song, “Youngblood,” which departs from the urban stomp sound of their last record, 2010’s Streets of Gold. As featured in promos for the new MTV show Underemployed, “Youngblood” is tuneful and anthemic, with synth-streaked production, a sweet edge and a singalong chorus that has more in common with Passion Pit or The Naked & Famous than with songs like “Starstrukk” or “My First Kiss.”

In the video, which premiered today on MTV Buzzworthy, which uses a nifty split-screen technique to show the production process of the track — it’s elegant, if a little dizzying, but it does the trick of giving space to the song, which deserves all that attention and more. 3OH!3’s new album, Omens, hits retailers in 2013. Watch the video above.
