:: Lady Gaga unveiled more visuals from her “Cake” project with photographer Terry Richardson. She posted the above photo on Thursday (November 15) along with the message “The real CAKE isn’t HAVING what you want, It’s DOING what you want.” [Facebook]

:: Robert De Niro has beef with Jay-Z. Apparently Bobby called his (now ex?) pal Hova six times and Jay never returned the call, so De Niro confronted the rapper about it at Leonardo DiCaprio‘s birthday party. Dang it, guys, why are you making us choose between the American Gangster and the Godfather? [Pop Dust]

:: OK here’s one of those trashy gossip stories based on “sources familiar with the situation” and it’s pretty thin but we feel inclined to update you: Selena Gomez is reportedly blocking Justin Bieber from her life. As in, blocking his phone number, emails and everything else (except Twitter, for some reason). [TMZ]

:: You may think pop music is all euphoria and romance these days, but a new study has found that over time, pop songs have gotten  slower, longer and more emotionally complex. In particular, songs have shifted toward minor key melodies from the days of chipper ’60s pop. [Huffington Post]
