Considering that Cee Lo Green‘s “All I Need Is Love” features The Muppets and borrows a riff from their famous “Mahna Mahna” tune, it’s no surprise that Jim Henson‘s creations made an appearance in the pop star’s latest holiday-themed music video. A complete U-turn from the Voice coach’s previous headscratching offering “This Christmas,” this time the only eagle is Sam Eagle and thankfully, he’s not directing.
Watch as Kermit invites Cee Lo to join in the Christmas cheer along with Pepe the Prawn, Swedish Chef, Rowlf, Dr. Teeth, Bobo, Bubba, Mahna Mahna, Gonzo, Statler & Waldorf, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, Beauregard, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Snowth, Rizzo, Miss Piggy — and even Walter from 2011’s The Muppets.
The big payoff, however, is not when Craig Robinson (The Office) comes down the chimney, it’s seeing Cee Lo himself singing alongside his Muppet doppleganger.
