Steven Tyler To Nicki Minaj: “A Racist I’m Not, Nicki”

Nicki Minaj‘s latest sparring partner, former American Idol judge Steven Tyler, has shot down Nicki’s claims that his critical comments were fueled by racism. The Aerosmith frontman offered a semi-apology/clarification on Tuesday (November 27), saying, “I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki…But I am the farthest from [being a racist].”

Tyler on Monday criticized Minaj’s judging abilities (serious matters, people!), causing the rapper to go on a Twitter tirade in which she claimed his remarks were racist. On Canadian entertainment show eTalk, Tyler addressed the controversy, saying, “I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don’t know where she got that out of me saying I’m not sure how she would’ve judged Bob Dylan.” He added, “Maybe I spoke out of turn, but a racist I’m not, Nicki,” presumably in a Yoda voice. So, settled! We’re sure Nicki will never speak of this spat ever again.
