Azealia Banks Covers ‘ASOS Fashion Up,’ Is “A Nervous Wreck” Over Upcoming Album

If seeing Azealia Banks done up in ASOS for the clothing line’s holiday campaign wasn’t enough for you, you’re in luck! The “212” rapper is also on the cover of the UK brand’s January 2013 iPhone/iPad magazine ASOS Fashion Up, which we’re sure you knew existed. For her Tyrone Lebon-photographed shoot, the “Fierce” New Yorker poses in a sheer skirt while perched on a bed surrounded by candles, a sleeveless royal blue velvet dress and a midriff baring long-sleeve crop-top with a bejeweled long skirt.

But Azealia, who has also modeled for Alexander Wang’s T campaign, claims she’s not a clotheshorse. “I would say I’m fashionable, but I’m not a fashion queen. I don’t really think about it too much. I have a friend in New York who I’ll give $5,000 and she’ll come back with loads of stuff for me to try on.” And really, how could the 21-year-old even have the time with the prepping of her upcoming LP Broke with Expensive Taste? The “Luxury” artist shared with ASOS, “I’m taking a lot of risks with this record, but music is so personal. I’m nervous, I’m excited, and there’s this crazy adrenaline. I’m sleeping in the studio, I have knots in my throat and I’m so anxious, I’m a nervous wreck.”
