Pop songs are not only catchy, but fairly to-the-point when delivering a message. For the last three years, Dave Werner has been out to remedy that with his annual “Extraneous Lyrics” medleys, whereby the San Franciscan adds in all the words our favorite artists “left out.” To wrap up 2012, Dave has served up another highly enjoyable helping by weaving together the year’s biggest hits including:  Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe,” Taylor Swift‘s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used To Know,” and One Direction‘s “What Makes You Beautiful.” As for Justin Bieber‘s “Boyfriend,” it seems no extra terminology is needed for “swag.” Hungry for more? Revisit 2011 and 2010.
