The inquest into the death of Amy Winehouse will be re-opened in January, according to the AP. Winehouse died in July 2011, and that October, assistant deputy coroner Suzanne Greenaway concluded Winehouse had died of accidental alcohol poisoning. However, questions soon arose about Greenaway’s qualifications — she was appointed to the position by her husband, also a coroner. Greenaway resigned a month after the Winehouse case, while her husband was suspended earlier this month and subsequently resigned. The Winehouse family did not request the new hearing, which will take place January 8.
