Getting the three original Sugababes members back together has been a long and winding road, and fans of the UK girl group have been gnawing their arms off in anticipation of new material from Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy — now known officially as Mutya Keisha Siobhan. Last week, on New Year’s Eve, the trio played a gig in London for Ponystep magazine where, among their classic tunes, they performed a cover of Rihanna‘s current hit “Diamonds.” And today comes the first listen (somewhat) of new song “Boys.”

PopJustice describes “Boys” as being mid-tempo, having elements of trap music and being produced by Richard “Biff” Stannard (Kylie Minogue, Spice Girls), Ash Howes (Ellie Goulding, Little Mix) and and British singer-songwriter MNEK, who has written for The Saturdays and The Wanted. Above, catch Mutya Keisha Siobhan giving an a cappella performance of “Boys.” And below, feast your ears on a whopping five seconds of the studio version.

While we’re absolutely dying over hearing the three girls harmonizing together for the first time in a decade in the live vid above — they really do sound lovely — we’re foaming at the mouth to hear the full recording of “Boys.”

The “B-b-boys, stop! Step away!” hook in this snippet seems promising. Just don’t keep us waiting too long, ‘babes!
