The new detail emerged from the second inquest into Amy Winehouse‘s death, which confirmed that she died of accidental alcohol poisoning.
Amy’s live-in security guard Andrew Morris says the night before she died, he heard her listening to music and watching TV in her bedroom while drinking. Winehouse emerged to show Morris a YouTube video of an ex, then returned to her room and spent some of her final hours watching clips of herself. Morris says Amy rarely watched such footage. He added that she didn’t seem “completely drunk” when he last saw her at 2:30 a.m., before finding her passed out later that morning at 10 a.m.
