Mike Posner’s Remix Of The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey” Removes All “Hos” And “Heys”

Mike Posner, the man responsible for giving Justin Bieber‘s “Boyfriend” all that “swag”, assigned himself the task of reworking The Lumineers‘ “Ho Hey”. The singer’s first order of business? Removing the song’s signature loud and haunting “ho” and “hey” chants — yes, every last one of them. And he didn’t stop there. Mike decided to strip away the band’s folk rock elements and rebuilding it as a pure pop piece. Instead, the “Heaven” crooner offers up soft, breathy verses laid over looped vocals, keyboards and synth drums which kick in at the chorus. The final product bares little (if any) resemblance to the original track.

We’re not sure if diehard Lumineers fans will be on board with the remix, but we’re betting that those with an ear for pop will certainly dig it. Hear the completely reinvented tune below.
