Maroon 5’s “Daylight (Playing For Change)” Video: Crowdsourced For A Cause

Are you sick of Maroon 5? It’s OK, you can admit it, this is a safe place. Just curb your exhaustion for one more video, because their “Daylight” video helps out a cool cause. Adam Levine and Co. originally planned to crowdsource the video through their Daylight Project, but then decided to partner with Playing For Change, a non-profit foundation which builds music schools for children worldwide.

The result takes the Santigold “Girls” concept one step further: rather than have fans lip-synch, this clip has performers worldwide actually playing the song. Their cuts were “recorded and filmed live outside” and were overlaid with the actual track. So if you ever wanted to hear what Maroon 5 would sound like with a didgeridoo player, watch the clip up top.
