Kitty (Pryde) Drops “R.R.E.A.M.”: Hear What Happens When You Mix Benadryl With Bass

Kitty Pryde dropped new track “R.R.E.A.M.” from her forthcoming D.A.I.S.Y. Rage EP (out January 31). The song’s title is decoded in the absurd, Wu-Tang Clan-referencing hook, “Rash rules everything around me, R.R.E.A.M. / Getting drowsy, Bena-Benadryl, y’all.” (With this and Kanye West‘s “Cold,” it’s been a good few months for over-the-counter shout-outs. Pharma-wave? We digress.)

Sonically, this cut is more aggressive than Kitty’s prior material, though it’s still a laid-back beat that invites head-bobbing. It’s almost like the Sleigh Bells of Tumblr rap, matching a sugary female delivery with serrated bass. Hear it below.
