Ed Sheeran Talks About Getting Matching “Bro Tat” With One Direction’s Harry Styles: Watch
Like seemingly all young musicians and chefs these days, Ed Sheeran is an avid fan of tattoos. His whole left arm is covered in colorful swatches and words, and he stopped by MTV to explain the significance of some of the body art. The soon-to-be Grammy performer pointed out he and Harry Styles of One Direction have matching (adorable) ink. They got Pingu tattoos, which Ed referred to as a “bro tat.” (For those of you not from England or Sweden, Pingu is the title penguin from a claymation children’s show.)
Sheeran also has a “Prince” tattoo in the font of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which he got, fittingly, in Philly. Obviously, this talking point led to Ed rapping the show’s theme song. The singer said much of his ink revolves around songs from his record, though he forgot to mention that one based on Taylor Swift‘s record. For instance, his Puss in Boots tat relates to “Wake Me Up,” in which he sings about Shrek. And that, friends, is the most Millennial tattoo description ever given.
