Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift & Keith Urban’s “Highway Don’t Care”: Hear The Country Ballad
So, when you think Tim McGraw, what do you think of? Down the road, it’ll probably be the just-leaked McGraw collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, “Highway Don’t Care,” a swoony country midtempo with a soaring chorus. Both crooners sound twangy and emotive, but it’s Swift’s vocals that really shine: They’re breathy, light and airier than anything on Red.
It’s a lot of country wattage for one song, but together, they carry it effectively; whether or not it’ll catch on at pop radio remains to be seen, but after the marked crossover sound of Swift’s last album, it’s a good gamble to put her squarely back in country’s sights. Listen after the jump.
