If Kanye West’s ‘Cruel Winter’ Exists, Then Travi$ Scott’s “I Got Bands” May Be The First Single

We can’t decide which story is more frustrating to follow: the on-again off-again Jelena relationship, the Britney Spears in Las Vegas merry-go-round or the existence/nonexistence of a potential G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Winter compilation. (Please note that any story involving Chris Brown gets its own special designation in the Circle of Frustration.) Regarding that mythical Kanye West-helmed Cruel Summer sequel, Q-Tip started the whole mess a few months ago when he said it was happening, but last month Pusha T revealed that it was dead in the water.

And now, G.O.O.D. Music young’n Travi$ Scott‘s working logic seems to be that it’s happening. In an interview with Semtex, the MC said that his song “I Got Bands” will be the first single. “It’s the first single off Cruel Winter…Kanye seen a vision for that shit and we just applied it and made it happen.” The thing is, the song is also on Scott’s forthcoming debut EP Owl Pharaoh (out February 22), so this could all just be a way to drum up hype for his own release.
