Justin Bieber’s Mom Talks Grammy Snub

“It’s my boy. I’m a little biased,” Pattie Mallette says of her son Justin Bieber. When asked for her thoughts on this year’s Grammys — Bieber did not receive a single nomination — she was quick to confess her true opinion. “I think they blew it,” she told Fuse. Mallette echoes Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, who took to Twitter to express his disappointment in December: ” Grammy board u blew it on this one.”

In comparison, Bieber has refused to dwell on the snub. In an interview with Z100, Bieber issued a statement to his fans: “Thank you to all my beautiful fans out there. I don’t need a Grammy to have your love.” In recent days, the Believe singer has been focusing on rehearsals for tomorrow’s Saturday Night Live episode, which will mark the first time he’s hosted the sketch comedy show.

Even before he became the youngest male artist to have five No. 1 albums, and even due to “Boyfriend” alone, Grammy nominations seemed like a given. Alas, what is “Boyfriend” now? Just another pop song that will never win the awards it deserves.
