Police Chief Involved In Chris Brown Probation Controversy Resigns

Oh, no! What a bummer! Looks like things aren’t going well for execrable human being/stain on the face of the music industry Chris Brown, who has been under fire recently for a scandal involving allegations that he didn’t complete all of his required community service hours and fabricated documents instead. Now, TMZ reports that the police chief who signed off on that community service (which the Los Angeles county district attorney claims were never actually performed) — and who later wrote a letter to the court advocating for Brown — has resigned from his job in Richmond, Virginia.

While TMZ notes that he might have resigned to pursue a job elsewhere, they claim that the “buzz in Richmond” (is that a thing?) is that his resignation was largely a product of the Brown controversy.

Yikes. Sure would be a shame if Chris Brown went to jail, wouldn’t it?
