50 Cent Joins Kendrick Lamar & Kidd Kidd On “We Up”: Hear The Swanky Single

A few weeks ago, 50 Cent posted a preview of the video for “We Up,” his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and G-Unit signee Kidd Kidd. Perhaps because he didn’t want the full black-and-white, tuxedo-heavy video to be overshadowed by a certain other clip with those elements that dropped this week, Fiddy today (February 15) premiered the full song, sans video.

Is it lame if we say the track’s “hella fresh?” Because it is! “We Up” is ultra smooth, the effortlessly boastful lyrics matched with a beat that’s simultaneously icy and warm. It’s exactly the type of small, focused gem Fif needs to break the streak of his more recent overwrought material. And while Fiddy and K-Dot run circles around Kidd Kidd, the song is too solid to let the newcomer’s verse bring it down. Hear it below.
