Mumford & Sons’ ‘Babel’ Benefits From Grammys Push, Returns To #1
With Mumford & Sons‘ Babel back at #1, the upper tier of the new Billboard 200 chart reflects the Grammy fever that set in last week, following the televised awards ceremony. Mumford’s sophomore LP, which won biggie prize Album Of The Year, sold another 185,000 copies, which was enough to land it on top of the main album chart for a fourth consecutive week since its release last September.
Other artists who benefit from a post-Grammys boost include performers Bruno Mars (Unorthodox Jukebox is up to #3), Taylor Swift (Red at #4), The Lumineers (at #6), fun. (#7) and Maroon 5 (#10). Likewise, the 2013 Grammy Nominees compilation has jumped up to #2.
