Tyler, The Creator Performs New Song “TreeHome” & “Domo 23” On ‘Jimmy Fallon’: Watch

Say what you will about Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator, but the controversy-courting Fan Of Title Case knows how to turn out a good tune, and as hype builds for his forthcoming LP Wolf, which hits retailers April 2, he’s begun his promotional campaign. To wit: Last night, he took the stage at Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to perform two tracks, as he met with an enthusiastic response from the crowd in a performance backed, in typical Fallon style, by The Roots.

The first song, a breezily tropical track called “TreeHome,” featured Tyler tinkling at a piano with vocals from Coco of the Danish duo Quadron (we hadn’t heard of them either, it’s cool); it marked a sharp contrast to the thudding, sinister “Domo 23.”

That versatility is exciting, but Tyler seemed even more at ease thrashing and gesticulating than he did tickling the ivories — the only thing that would have made it better was an appearance from Miley Cyrus.

Watch up top.
