Bobby Brown Sentenced To 55 Days In Jail For Third DUI

Troubled crooner Bobby Brown has received a sentence of 55 days in jail stemming from a recent DUI, according to TMZ. He was pulled over in Los Angeles in October after being seen driving erratically and was booked on a DUI and driving with a suspended license — his license was suspended from an earlier DUI in 2012 which is, well, yikes — and ultimately pled no contest to the charges today, resulting in the jail time in addition to four years’ probation. It’s his third DUI conviction.

Brown will also complete an 18-month alcohol treatment program and attend 3 AA meetings per week until he turns himself in to begin serving his jail time, which must begin before March 20.

It’s tough to talk about Brown’s substance abuse without talking about his ex-wife Whitney Houston‘s, which means, more potently than ever, there’s really nothing funny to say about this one. Cross your fingers that Brown meets a less tragic end than Houston.
