Solange Performs ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ On ‘David Letterman’: Watch

Solange‘s critically hailed EP True is still building buzz — and deservedly so — and last night’s typically stellar performance of “Don’t Let Me Down” on The Late Show With David Letterman should only serve to cement her spot as the alt-pop queen to beat.

Looking chic in polka dots and her usual voluminous afro, Solangel’s vocals were on point, but it was her energy that really buoyed the set: Whether performing a track as sweetly melancholy as “Losing You” or serving the funkier sound of “Down,” there’s something unusually magnetic she brings to the set.

Watch up top.
