Watch The-Dream Talk About Beyonce’s New Album: “Music That Feels Good”

We’re grasping at straws in search of any info pertaining to Beyonce‘s upcoming album — just give us something, B! — so even a relatively cagey interview with her frequent collaborator The-Dream about their work together on the forthcoming LP feels like a deluge of details. (It’s really not.)

Still, Dream drops a few nifty tidbits as he’s talking about their creative process — “There’s no particular sound that I think we’re shooting for,” he said, “we’re just trying to make music that feels good” — and claimed that the sense we all have that Bey is a superhuman goddess devoid of flaws or insecurities isn’t entirely accurate, although his word choice may not have been the best. “She’s just shooting to be regular and okay,” he said, “and not trying to appease everybody.”

“Regular” and “okay” aren’t the words that would come to mind for us, but hey, he knows her better. Watch his full interview up top.
