Ahhhhhhhhhhh, freak out! Last night during Saturday Night Live, semi-reclusive French duo Daft Punk had 15 seconds of brand new music teased via a mysterious commercial. The song’s title never appeared, but the disco-drenched guitar licks sound undeniably like ’70s hitmakers Chic — or, particularly, like the handy work of Chic mastermind/legendary music producer Nile Rodgers, who has been working with the pair on new music.

There’s not much to go by here, but as is typical with Daft Punk, it only takes a mere 15 seconds for us to declare that we NEED THIS ALBUM. NOW.

Listen above, then flash back with a few Chic classics below!

“All I can say is those guys are geniuses and to think that after all these years we’ve been trying to get together, they just show up at my apartment in New York City and the vibe between us is so powerful and so strong – it’s unbelievable,” Rodgers told Mixmag last year.
