Prince To Perform At SXSW On Saturday: Report
Prince is set to make his South by Southwest debut this week alongside a 22-piece band. (Take that, Justin Timberlake and your Tennessee Kids!) The Purple One is getting “a specially remodeled stage” at La Zona Rosa for a performance Saturday night (March 16), according to HitFix. And if it’s anything like his blistering pair of songs at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, everyone still standing in Austin by that final night is going to want to be there.
Prince isn’t the only longtime veteran at SXSW this year. Depeche Mode are holding court and will be performing, and Green Day are performing for the first time since lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong entered rehab.
